The Sleep Edit is built on the idea that sleep doesn’t always need a complete overhaul,  just the right edits. Whether I’m supporting you overnight in the newborn stage or guiding you virtually through toddler sleep struggles, my approach is calm, personalized, and rooted in what actually works. Like an editor fine-tunes a draft, I refine what’s working, adjust what’s not, and help you make sense of the parts that feel overwhelming. Every family is different, and your sleep support should be too.

Atlanta’s in-demand newborn care specialist, pediatric sleep consultant, and trusted overnight infant caregiver.

I’m Lauren, a Newborn Care Specialist and Pediatric Sleep Consultant based in Atlanta. My life has always revolved around nurturing children and supporting families, from caring for my younger siblings as the eldest, to local babysitting gigs, to volunteering with children in Uganda, and eventually building a career as a professional nanny. Every step along the way deepened my passion for this work and shaped the way I support new parents today.

My obsession with sleep started early! I slept 14 hours straight as a baby (which terrified my mom), and even as a child, I’d put myself to bed early just because I loved it. As a teenager, I’d sleep until the afternoon if I was allowed. And now, in my 30s, I still prioritize sleep — it just happens during the day now, thanks to my overnight work schedule. Helping families get the rest they need feels like a full-circle moment for me.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve supported more than 70 families , both in person and virtually. From long-term care placements lasting up to 12 months to families who’ve welcomed me back for their second (or third!) baby. Each experience has shaped my approach and reinforced the importance of individualized care and support.

My approach goes beyond helping parents “get a break.” I focus on building calm, supportive nighttime routines and foundations for healthy infant sleep, so everyone in the home can thrive. Whether I’m offering overnight newborn care or coaching tired parents through sleep challenges, I aim to make the fourth trimester and beyond feel less overwhelming and more restful.
